Casual Everyday Makeup with Starlooks Tutorial

In our first Starlooks Starbox review for 2013, we promised that we would be working on other ways to wear the cosmetics that we had reviewed. Today we wanted to share one look that we put together using the 858 Dome Brush, both Brown and Diamondline eye liners and the Blush Compact in Cuty Peach.

To see up-close photos of each of the mentioned items, please check them out in our previous review: January 2013 Starlooks Starbox {HERE}

If you follow our Instagram feed {HERE}you would have noticed that yesterday we were experiencing a little bit of a "bad hair" day, however as you will see below this did not stop us from wearing makeup!

What we did was apply Cuty Peach to the cheeks using a stippling brush. This blush has a light to medium peach tone {in the photos the blush looks a bit darker than when it is applied to the skin} and is very saturated with color. Depending on your skin tone, you can either apply this blush with a lighter hand if you are on the fair/pale side; however, if you are like me a medium tone, then you can certainly use a tad bit more.

For the eye look, we wanted to compliment the brown tones in the eyes. For this we used a light purple mineral eye-shadow over the lid and into crease using the 858 Dome Brush. Next, using the Brown Eye Liner, we lined the upper and lower lash lines.

To soften the brown liner, we then applied the Diamondline Eye Liner in Fancy on top of the brown on the upper lid only. Doing this application, turned the eye liner into a soft olive color - complementing both the shade of purple eye shadow and the brown tones in the eyes. In order to complete the eyes, a coat of black mascara was applied to the upper and lower lashes. We decided that no falsies were going to be applied, we will next time though!

This over all look is perfect for everyday wear:  it's not too busy but brings out the eyes and cheeks. To keep this look subdued, the lips remained semi-nude with a light application of lip gloss.
