Happy Tuesday Dolls!
Let me just say that I have been away for too long and have really been missing you all! To give you a quick update: We were in the process of moving/relocating which is why it took a while for us to upload an updated post. Now that our servers and networks are up and running {since early this morning, yay!} I wanted to make sure that the very first post was about Starlook's February Starbox.
First, let me tell you that this particular monthly makeup box was a Special Edition Starbox. The makeup included were all demoed and recommended by professional MUA Lauren Clark.
To give you a little background about Lauren Clark, she has been in the makeup industry for over 10 yrs. Lauren has worked as a counter manager at Clarins, a MUA for MAC Cosmetics and other well known clients and brands. Lauren has also authored a Makeup Artist's Manual providing her expert advice for newer aspiring makeup professionals in the industry.
Now that you have been introduced to Lauren Clark, please take a few minutes to watch my video and see what makeup products she put together for Starlooks:
Check out the photos below for a close up view of each individual item featured in this monthly makeup box:
Princess Diaries Eye Liner: This eye liner is waterproof and smudge-proof. The eye liner is versatile: it can be worn as a liner for either the top or lower lashes or as an eye-shadow.
HD Fluid Blush in Barbie: A very saturated blush tint that is perfect for creating a light, spring glow to the cheeks. As seen in the video, this blush can be applied with your fingers or by using a blush brush - either way, you will certainly have a rosy glow in no time.
Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy: Creamy and highly pigmented lip pencil can be used to line the lips or as an overall lip color. This lip pencil has a soft matte finish - the perfect canvas for applying a little gloss to enhance fullness in the lips.
Pink Oasis Lip Gloss: Lip gloss is very sheer with flecks of sparkles. When applied to nude lips the gloss is a soft hue of lavender. This non-sticky lip gloss is a must for this spring season.
Lastly, the Starlooks Eye-Shadow in Show Stopper Green was an added bonus item that was received separately in accordance to our partnership with Starlooks. {please see disclosure at end of post}
This color reminds me of Easter eggs and Spring. I am super excited to wear this eye shadow in a smoked out eye look. Please stay tuned for more photos and tips that are upcoming as they are uploaded to our facebook page in the next few weeks!
For more information about the monthly makeup box membership provided by Starlooks, please visit their website/ facebook / twitter / you tube / instagram
Now it's YOUR turn: What do you think of these Special Edition makeup pieces? Do you have a favorite item? If so, which one? Let us know in the comments!
Disclosure: We received a complimentary item in addition to the February 2013 Starbox for the purpose of this review. All photos and comments are 100% my very own. In addition, we have entered into a new partnership agreement with Starlooks where we will be continuing to feature a review on their monthly Starbox subscription. For a more detailed disclosure policy for this blog, please take a moment to read all the details on our Disclosure page.

How to Create a Polished and Neutral Everyday Look
One of the most popular beauty looks this Fall season is wearing a rich bold lip color paired with a neutral eye and face. The overall effect of this look is very polished and perfect for everyday wear. In order to get this trendy look, all you really need is a few basic tools and a good quality selection of makeup.
My personal favorite look from the mark.girl cosmetic collection is the "Very Berry" look done by makeup artist, Mai Quynh. In the video below, Mai shows just how easy it is to put this effortless yet polished neutral look together.
The one aspect of this makeup video that caught my attention was seeing how quickly this look comes together. A neutral eye and face paired with such a bold rich color can be worn very easily. Now that you have seen how to get the "Very Berry" makeup look, here is a collage featuring all the cosmetics Mai Quynh used in the video.
List of mark makeup products used and where to purchase:
Primed for Perfection Face Primer
Got the Goods Multi-Benefit Foundation Lotion SPF 15
Matte-Nificent Oil Absorbing Powder
Just Blushing Powder Blush - in Dollhouse
Please Hold Eye Primer
I-mark Wet/Dry Eye Shadow- in Puff and Tiki
No Place to Run Longwear Eyeliner - in foxy brown
Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara

Now its Your turn: Would you wear the Very Berry Look this season? What is your favorite part of this makeup look: the neutral polished eyes or the bold rich lip?

How To Do-It-Yourself : Chevron Nails #NailArt
During the past few months Do-It-Yourself nail-art has come to be one of the most popular crafts seen YouTube. Personally, I am not that much of a Do-It-Yourself kind of gal, but with the help of my nine year old daughter - we have spent time trying most of the nail art tutorials; some with great success - others not so much!
Over the summer vacation, my Little Diva was been bitten by the vlog bug. She enjoys sitting on the floor in the office or in her bedroom with either the IPAD or laptop watching videos on You-Tube. She has tried quite a few of the most popular nail art styles, such as polka dots, water marble, ombre, and half moons.
Recently, she told me she wants to try doing Chevron nail-art. From what I have seen, there seems to be several ways to get this colorful zig-zag pattern done on your nails.
Luckily, I was researching through tons of emails this morning when I just happened to come across a DIY Chevron Nail Art tutorial from Birchbox. According to the tutorial, you need two things - a sharp pair of Scrapbook Scissors and clear tape. The only side-note about doing this particular nail art style is that it is better to complete it within two days.
But, please don't take my word for it. All you need is about three minutes to watch the video to see how simple achieving a Chevron nail really is:
Now it's your turn: How do you typically get your nails painted? Do you try these DIY nail tutorials? OR are you a classic beauty that chooses to stick with solid nail color? Let us know in the comments!
PS - Don't forget about the Photo Collage Contest we are starting on our facebook page! We are in the process of working out the details - so please stay tuned for more info - Better yet, to make sure you don't miss a thing, make sure to like our page!

Today I wanted to share a video tutorial of makeup artist, Mai Quynh, putting the Viva el Color Look on a model using mark. products, which are both affordable and high quality cosmetics. #LoveVoxBox Unveiling
It's Fab Friday Luvlys! Today I wanted to share with all of my wonderful readers my very first video! I am very happy to say that making a video was fun and not as difficult as I had once imagined it to be.
First, let me just say that I am grateful to have joined Influenster.com If you are not familiar with this company, you should really take the time to check them out. Basically, the more involved you are on the site, you are able to earn more badges which leads to being considered for a special treat - which is being sent a box filled with product samples that you can review, while sharing your opinions with others. How sweet is that?
I joined a few months ago, earned a few badges, and was given the chance to receive my very first VoxBox filled with goodies!
Okay, now that you have an idea of the program offered by Influenster.com, please take a few minutes to watch my #LoveVoxBox Unveiling Video:
Yes, I must admit - I tend to be a little "chatty" but could any normal person actually contain their excitement after receiving such a special opportunity? I think not!
So, let's take a few seconds to recap which products were received in my Influenster #LoveVoxBox :
I am really looking forward to the chance I have been given to integrate these products into my daily routine. I already have a few ideas in mind, especially for the Stash Tea, Ghirardelli Gourmet Chocolates and the Truvia.
Now It's Your Turn: Which products are you looking forward to hearing about the most? Please share your thoughts, we love to hear from you!
PS - Don't forget to come back so you can see the products up close!
*Disclaimer: The products included in the #lovevoxbox received from influester.com were sent to me for review as part of the VoxBox program - which is completely complimentary. However, ALL photos, videos and opinions are 100% my own.
